Compliance & Governance

Statutory and mandatory compliance of FM related activities, especially around mechanical and electrical systems, is absolutely paramount in any organisation to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and the public. Recent changes in corporate manslaughter law have brought this into sharp focus. We can conduct compliance audits and recommend maintenance regimes to ensure that compliance activities are prioritised.

Examples of compliance are:

  • Fixed wire testing, water hygiene, emergency lighting, PAT testing, LOLER, Insurance Inspections; Gas Safe Accreditation, Fixed access inspections

In addition to statutory compliance, we also undertake audits of live contracts to ensure that they are being correctly administered and all parties are fulfilling their obligations. Such audits will include reviewing performance measures, contract administration and commercial compliance (ensuring value for money). Other compliance and governance services include forensic audit of non-performing projects and to assist fraud investigations. Also, auditing of business continuity plans and disaster recovery measures to ensure they remain robust. From a governance perspective, all these compliance audits ensure that the appropriate controls and measures are in place to satisfy any external audit or challenge.
