Carbon Reduction Plan
Oxhey Hall Consulting Ltd is proud to have joined the Wenta Action Zero initiative in partnership with our serviced office providers, committing to becoming a Net Zero social enterprise by 2050—or sooner. Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions not only benefits our business but also our customers, suppliers, and the wider community.
As part of our commitment, we continue to invest in workforce development through regular ‘carbon literacy’ refresher training. New team members also receive training to become internal and community advocates for sustainability. We remain focused on embedding best practices in response to the climate emergency—introducing initiatives such as a cycle-to-work scheme, verified Gold Standard tree planting, and actively encouraging sustainable solutions across our integrated services.
Our Net Zero strategy has been developed and initial actions implemented, with verification from Wenta as our accrediting body. We will report annually on our progress against self-set carbon reduction targets.
This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines Oxhey Hall Consulting’s baseline emissions data, defines measurable targets within clear timeframes, and details planned actions to achieve Net Zero by 2050. While our main office operates from a fully serviced building and is therefore not subject to Scope 1 and 2 emissions, we continue to actively support the Wenta Business Centre in their journey toward Net Zero.
The Directors of Oxhey Hall Consulting Ltd fully support this Carbon Reduction Programme. Their leadership is reflected through regular updates at annual meetings and a commitment to championing, resourcing, and driving change as needed. The Net Zero plan will remain a core part of our strategic direction, with the Directors leading by example and ensuring the necessary support is always in place.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets as per the graph below.
Carbon Reduction Projects
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through a range of initiatives and continuous improvements. Key actions to date include:
- Environmental Management System: Successfully implemented an Environmental Management System and achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification. We conduct regular internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
- Digital Working Practices: Adoption of SharePoint and OneDrive has enabled the business to operate in a near-paperless environment, with printed documentation only used when specifically required.
- Remote Working and Reduced Travel: Staff are encouraged to use video conferencing whenever possible, significantly reducing travel-related emissions. We also support flexible and home working arrangements, which further minimises commuting.
- Carbon Emissions Reporting and Offsetting: Achieved Wenta Net Zero Gold status through the use of a Carbon Reporting Tool, which accurately tracks our emissions. We offset our annual carbon footprint via carbonfootprint.co.uk.
- Local Supply Chain: Preference is given to local resources, such as surveyors, to reduce the environmental impact of travel.
- Staff Engagement: All staff are encouraged to reduce their personal carbon footprint by turning off equipment when not in use, sorting and recycling waste (recycling bins are provided in the main office), and using sustainable travel options.
- Sustainable Procurement: Environmental considerations are prioritised when booking accommodation or selecting suppliers for corporate events.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, we are focused on delivering further carbon reductions through the following initiatives through a combination of self-implementation and working with partners such as Wenta, our serviced office provider:
- Sustainable Commuting: Promote low-carbon commuting methods such as walking, cycling, public transport, and car sharing. We also plan to introduce schemes that support the use of low or zero-emission vehicles, including the provision of EV charging points.
- IT Equipment Upgrade: Conduct a company-wide review and upgrade of older IT equipment. This will include replacing monitors with smart-switching technology and ensuring energy-efficient hardware is used across servers, desktops, and laptops.
- Ongoing Support for Hybrid Working: Continue to encourage hybrid working as part of our commitment to both sustainability and staff wellbeing. This includes the continued use of virtual meeting platforms and development of our Mental Health & Wellbeing policy.
- Cycle to Work Scheme: Encourage greater uptake of cycling through awareness campaigns and by exploring options such as salary sacrifice schemes or discounted access to e-bikes and other sustainable travel alternatives.
