    Ministry of Justice

Mobilising 61 prison establishments form South Wales to Northumbria is no mean feat. The experience and support of Oxhey Hall in development of the asset verification strategy, performing surveys on our behalf and assisting in interpretation and evaluation, within a restrictive and complex environment, allowed the rest of the team to focus on their respective areas.

    Overview

Working collaboratively with Amey and the Ministry of Justice, Oxhey Hall successfully completed the detailed asset verification exercise across this complex and demanding estate. The estate comprised 61 establishments from South Wales through to Northumbria.

Our national network of surveyors allowed us to deploy resources locally and keep travelling and associated costs to a minimum.

Owing to security restrictions, the survey was ostensibly a manual process on site, with automated scripts and reports, including an online database, to improve efficiency of data inputting, cleansing and reporting.

Another level of complexity was the need to compare the survey results against three different data sets. Our online database solution enabled us to analyse and output the data according to the client various requirements.

In 2015, Oxhey Hall supported Amey during the mobilisation of a major multi-site contract.  The work involved surveying a large, complex and geographically dispersed estate, and handling large amounts of legacy data from pre-existing CAFM systems and client surveys. They worked closely with the Amey mobilisation team, and provided an accurate and complete survey which met the stringent requirements of our customer.

This was a complete managed solution, with extensive use of dynamic reporting suites, comprising fully resourced Gantt charts, dashboards, ‘S’ curves and cost forecasting.
